The 60th 2011 Miss USA Pageant is returning to Las Vegas. MIss USA 2010, Rima Fakih and Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees will welcome the 51 Miss USA 2011 contestants with a red carpet event tonight, June 6, 6:30 p.m. at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. For the next two weeks the ladies will participate in pageant activities leading up to the June 19th pageant live on NBC.
On Saturday the contestants got all dolled up in evening gowns for a photo shoot with renowned photographer Fadel Berisha and on Sunday the girls attended a pool party at the Palms Place pool. Las Vegas' own Rain Cosmetics is the official makeup of the Miss USA pageant and the talented Rain makeup artists will keep the contestants looking marvelous. Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih, crowned in Las Vegas last year, will crown the new winner live on June 19th. You can vote for your favorite now, by visiting www.missusa.com.

Despite the apparent glamour, the beauties that have flown to Nevada from all around the United States to compete for the title of Miss USA 2011, face a gruelling few days.

Based at the Planet Hollywood hotel, the girls are tied into a heavy schedule of 16-18 hours of interviews with judges each day.
Then there are back-to-back photo shoots at various Sin City hotels, not to mention the filming of segments to form part of the NBC live broadcast on June 19th.
The 2011 Miss USA contestants enjoy the Las Vegas sunshine at the Eiffel Tower Experience.
But when it all looks as glorious as this, it's tempting not to look too far beneath the surface.
And there's no denying that these girls appear to be having a marvellous time.

They're an eclectic group, too - last year's winner Rima Fakih was the first Muslim to ever win the competition, and she's back this year to inspire the new crop.
